Privacy Policy

Energize Stores is run by Energize Central ("we", "us"). We decide how your personal information is used on Energize Stores, which makes us its data controller under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).

We collect only what we need to handle your order:

• Order details: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address if you give it, state, delivery address, any note you add, and the item, size and quantity you chose.
• Messages and payment records: what you tell us when we contact you about an order, and the record of your payment.
• Technical information: your IP address and basic browser details, which our servers handle when you visit and which we use to keep the website secure and to stop spam orders.

Some choices, such as the creators you pick, are saved only in your own browser. They are not sent to us, and you can clear them by clearing your browser's site data. We do not use advertising trackers.

We use your information to:

• confirm your order, arrange payment and deliver it, which we need to do to fulfil our agreement with you;
• contact you about your order by phone, WhatsApp or email;
• handle exchanges, refunds and complaints;
• keep the website secure and prevent fraud and spam, which is in our legitimate interest and yours;
• keep the records the law requires, such as tax and accounting records.

We do not send you marketing messages unless you agree to receive them, and you can stop them at any time. We do not sell your personal information.

We share your information only with the people who need it to complete your order:

• the creator whose item you ordered, so they can prepare it;
• our delivery partners, who receive your name, phone number and address;
• service providers who run the website and store our records for us, such as our hosting provider and Google, whose spreadsheet service holds our order records.

Each of them may use your information only for that purpose. We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect people from fraud or harm.

Some of our service providers store data on servers outside Nigeria, for example in the United States or Europe. When that happens, we rely on providers that protect personal information to a standard the NDPA accepts.

We keep order information while your order is open and for as long as you might need help with it afterwards, such as an exchange or refund. Records we must keep for tax and accounting are kept for up to six years and then deleted. Information used only to stop spam is kept for a few minutes.

Your information is sent over an encrypted connection. Order records are kept in access-controlled systems that only the team handling orders can open. No system is completely secure, but if a breach affects your information, we will tell you and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission as the law requires.

Under the NDPA you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your information, unless we must keep it by law;
• stop or limit how we use it, or object to a use;
• send your information to you or another organisation in a common format;
• withdraw consent you gave earlier, such as for marketing.

To use any of these rights, contact us as shown below. We will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng).

If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to place the order for you.

We may update this policy, for example when accounts and online checkout open. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will tell you about important changes on the website.
